therapy

the whole giving birth episode is still racing through my brain, i've got so much to digest and so many questions still and i've decided to write it all down. not right now, because i need to get some sleep before yannick does his "i like to keep mommy awake between 3 and 6 in the morning" routine tonight. but be warned: i'm going to write the whole thing down i guess and post it here. not suitable for kids, yo.

it's a mikey!!!

but his names are yannick koert. the delivery was horrific - i just got out of the hospital. thursday evening, the doctor concluded: "and now i'm going to take a shot of whiskey and a carton of cigarettes and go home". funny guy.


we're doing fine now though. yannick was born during 'what would you say' (mom, it's my birthday!). i'll tell the whole story later. for now, i'm going to feed my son. i'm a mom!!!!! life's crazy!!!! and insanely beautiful!!!!

here goes naturally

they're going to induce labor tomorrow. however much i dreaded this would happen, i almost don't care anymore. enough's enough and 42 weeks of being pregnant is really enough. i want to meet mikey!!


p.s.: we're all sick and tired of waiting. hopefully i'll be able to introduce mikey tomorrow or the day after - send some good vibes while you're asleep tonight :)

getting stripped is not as fun as it sounds.


having said that, i'm dillated 3 centimeters. woo freaking hoo. the contractions come and go, but an emphasis on go.

at least something's happening

THAT was fun. not. they took my blood pressure right after i had crossed the entire hospital in search of the right floor, so it suddenly was sky high (well, high-er). this resulted in a series of tests which kept me from eating on time, which resulted in me almost passing out. wonderful.


buuuuuuuut... of course, everything is a-okay. ctg: a+. ultrasound: a+. my pregnancy is 'ideal', according to the gynaecologist - except for the small detail that he/she won't come out. so i made an appointment to be induced for this thursday. and of course tomorrow, the midwife is scheduled so she can 'strip' me.


buuuuuuuuut.... still keep your fingers crossed 'cause i had some contractions the last few hours. let's hope this time it'll stick and get worse (= better). no pain, no gain!

i'm heading to the hospital for a ctg (heart film). fingers crossed.


deep down i'm hoping i'll go into labor right then and there and come home with a baby instead of some test results. but shhhh. i might jinx it.
