psssst...

it's still basically early and not so extremely hot outside yet, so i'm getting this out while i can (= while i'm not sweating my brains out yet).


two weeks and two days before my due date, and i'm beginning to not think of anything else right now. which is kind of annoying because really, there still are other things in life. on the other hand, i do understand why i can't think of anything else. these are the last days before my life will truely never ever be the same ever again.

to think that mikey will be completely dependent on us (i mean, he is now too, but the only thing i have to do is eat well, don't drink or smoke and pass out from the heat every now and then - i'm not messing with his head just yet). that's a scary idea. you bring a child into the world and bam, that's the moment you start molding his personality, creating childhood trauma and partially influence the rest of his/her life.


WOAH.


the only thing i can do is try and teach mikey how to be him/herself and have confidence in that. that, and play the right music as often as i can.

congratulations to both matias and jen with their newborn liam. love the name and does anyone else think the kid already takes after his mom?

3 more weeks to go and counting. if the temperature drops below 100 degrees tomorrow, i'll give a proper update. for now, i just want to say i wish i were in san diego this weekend.

i never thought i'd say this, but...

i love the netherlands. because as of yesterday, i am on maternity leave. 5 weeks before my due date. and if i would have wanted to, i could have gone on leave even a week earlier.


but i didn't want to. and instead i worked and worked. but i'm done with that for now. because i can't. take. another. step. all i want and can do is sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.


hopefully i'll recover soon from this lazy spell, so i can give you all a proper update. for now: sleep tight.
