i'm actually having fun at picking out a baby carriage/strawler/whatever the heck you call it. it's really fun to dive into, this baby business, which i guess is kinda sad in some ways. but i don't care. ha. in any case, it'll probably be a bugaboo cameleon and i'm very happy my in-laws are paying for it and not us.
i feel almost ashamed getting a pushchair (finally got off my lazy behind and looked it up) that is this expensive, but i just keep telling myself everything else we're getting is second hand (except rubber nipples and stuff, don't worry), so we will make up for it that way. because really - will the baby remember what his/her crib looked like or feel any less that his little bath tub was used by his 1 year older friend before him? nah-uh.
so my mom is fixing up a 100 year old moses crib and i found a really old, cool cabinet that could serve as a baby commode. three more months to go and i will actually have time to do the baby room. let's cross our fingers this kid won't show up early (if it's anything like me, it'll be prompt. if it's anything like maarten, it'll be late. you can see how we're setting him/her up for a split personality already).
