proof of tiredness

i really, really really really really, really really really really need to be done with school. it's a little too much right now. to the point where i just want to drink a whole lotta coffee and smoke cartons of cigarettes. and both are out of the question right now.

on the bright side: 3 exams left!!!! only three exams. and a thesis paper and a research paper, but let's put that aside for a while. at least until i can breathe again (breathe again, breathe again). so i'm just keeping my eye on the prize: 3 more exams and i'm done with that stuff for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

tomorrow's my baby's birthday. i'm giving him a book and a two-day getaway in the country. the latter is a surprise. i hope he likes it. especially since i'm sacrificing what was supposed to be my super relaxed on my own hanging out doing nothing day off work. but that's cool. it's not every day that he turns 33.

must sleep now. i hope that this will be the nigth in three months where i can actually sleep the whole night through, and not wake up at 2. i hopes i hopes!

boo

wow. that second to last post was far more bitter and whiney than i intended it to be. it was supposed to be sarcastically funny, but it turned out to be just grumpy. sorry about that.

MUST BE THE HORMONES.

hahahahaha.

i crack myself up.

yay, let's rejoice and celebrate it's friday!!

10 things about being pregnant that people don't talk about

  1. you're not instantly on cloud 9. in fact, cloud 9 is a myth. bliss has never been further away.
  2. the first three months, you are insanely tired. really, you've never been this tired. in bed by 6.30 pm? or earlier? every single day? no problem. the fourth month? if i'm lucky, i'll stay up until 9. you go party girl!
  3. some women don't get morning sickness, or they just get only *morning* sickness. me? 24*7 sickness. and no, the fact that it is all for a good cause really does not help
  4. you can say goodbye to your libido. so does your partner
  5. as soon people know you're pregnant, they start treating you like you're a retard.
  6. you can not simply disagree with anyone anymore, because from now on, "it's your hormones"
  7. people will give you their opinion on how to be pregnant, how to give birth and how to raise the baby. unasked.
  8. there should be a support group for daddies to be. really. how come no one asks *them* how *they* are feeling? not to mention they need to take care of their sick, grumpy, growing women for 9 months, without complaining. i'm soluting all daddies out there.
  9. if i get one more glare from you when i answer you that no, i will not quit my job, i will punch you in the face. real hard. and i WILL blame it on my hormones in court if i have to.
  10. the only thing that helps when sick, is barfing, farting and or burping.

there. everything you never wanted to know.

say hi

the beauty of having a blog is that you can post anything. so now i'm going to bore you all with a very blurry picture of our work in progress. just because i can and because the picture is interesting to me.

the ultrasound was really awesome by the way. but surreal. you can see your baby-to-be rocking out in your belly (he/she really was waving its arms-to-be like it just didn't care), but you don't feel a thing.

oh. now, just because it's 9 am, i'm going to throw up.

we have a winner

for the last 2.5 months, i have been thinking how i would blog this. in my head, i wrote paragraph after paragraph. but now that i can finally tell you, i only feel like writing down the essence (but don't be surprised if within one hour, i'm starting to ramble on and on about it).

anyway... i'm pregnant :)
